Photography has been a joy and a creative outlet for me for more than 35 years and sharing that joy with other photographers is a passion and a privilege. In 2020 during COVID I started co-teaching virtual classes for photographers around the world via the Salted Collective community. As a lifelong learner I certainly have grown a lot in my own personal journey through working with mentors and taking countless classes, workshops and retreats over the years.
Private mentorship is all about you and what you need at this moment in your journey. Together we'll explore your short- and long-term photography goals and outline a plan for the skills and experiences that will move you towards them.
Some of the topics we might work on include:
- Mastering manual mode - exposure triangle, focus, use of light
- Strengthening your images through better composition
- Using natural light more effectively
- Portrait photography for adults, kids and families
- Flash/off camera flash/studio lighting
- Photo editing techniques using Lightroom, Photoshop and other tools
- Exploring self-portraiture
- Creative use of mood, blur, Lensbaby and vintage lenses
- Light painting, colored gels and all kinds of more out-of-the-box techniques to explore and have fun with photography

Together we'll set a goal for our session time together I'll craft our lesson based on your unique needs, whether that's mastering manual and the exposure triangle, to achieving better portraits, storytelling and composition or advanced creative techniques
