Coming from more than 20 years in corporate marketing where I worked with partners and luminaries such as Dr. Jane Goodall, Pixar, Dreamworks, National Park Service, Scholastic, Henry Winkler and others, I know the importance of story in connecting with your audience.

For my entrepreneurs out there, I feel your pain in this content-hungry digital economy. During my years of marketing in the corporate world and as a solopreneur, I:

• wasted too many hours trying to constantly source fresh content for our social media feed
• cringed over using images of people that were so clearly from another decade. with a different hairstyle. and in poor lighting
• wanted to pull my hair out numerous times trying to place ad copy on images that didn't have any negative space in the composition, or fit that skinny blog banner
